The Flatrock Experiment
Mike Raine and Philip Bohm, as 3Pin Productions, have developed 'The Flatrock Experiment'. This is a recording project using the resources around us: writers, musicians, affordable recording facilities, and drawing on our landscape and heritage.
3Pin Productions are the producers, arrangers and engineers, taking an adventurous and progressive attitude to traditional and contemporary acoustic music, but remaining sensitive to the historical lineage of Folk music here in Tasmania and the world.
We have a leaning towards what we would call 'contemporary Folk music', though its a bit like trying to describe wine.

Flat Rock is a rocky outcrop on the Huon River across from Mosquito Point at Ranelagh. Like many other parts of the Huon, it is a place of tranquility and beauty, though it has its moments when the river is in flood.
